About this event
Pull up a chair, pour yourself a glass, and make something you'll actually wear. We lay out everything you need to design your own bracelets and necklaces — elastic cord and wire, a proper mix of beads (coloured glass, freshwater pearls, letter beads for the ones who want a name or a word in there), clasps, pliers, the works — and start with a quick 5-minute tutorial on the basic knotting technique, so even a first-timer is making something good within minutes. Sample pieces are laid out for inspiration if you're not sure where to start. From there it's just good lighting, a chill playlist, and however long it takes to get your design right, with wine — red, white or rosé, plus water for the ones pacing themselves — topped up all evening, and snacks to go with it. It's a small group by design: close enough to actually talk to the people next to you while your hands are busy, which tends to be when the best conversations happen anyway.
