About this event
Draw a real still life with a professional artist, sip wine and meet new people.
In the middle of the table: a real still life — a "bodegón", as they say in Spain — with cheese, bread, grapes, pomegranates, persimmons, Valencian oranges and, of course, a bottle of wine. Your job: draw it in oil pastels with a professional artist by your side for the whole session. She opens with a short intro to the technique, then stays with the group from start to finish — going round every table with tips and, if you want it, adding her own finishing touch to your piece at the end.
We're not chasing perfect. Expressionism is about painting what you feel, not what you see — bold colours, loose lines, your own take. Everyone draws the same table and ends up with something completely different, and that's the fun part.
Prefer your own subject? Bring a reference photo and work from that instead.
And when the last stroke is done, the still life becomes dinner: the boards come out and we eat it together.

Grab a glass, find your spot and meet the people at your table.
18:15 · What is expressionism?
A short, relaxed intro from the artist: how to use colour and emotion instead of trying to copy reality.
18:30 · Draw
Paint the bodegón live or work from your own reference photo. The artist goes around the table with tips the whole time.
20:00 · The artist's finishing touch
If you want it, the artist adds her own touch to your piece before it goes up in the mini gallery.

Questions
I can't draw. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Expressionism isn't about drawing "well", it's about colour and feeling. Beginners often make the most interesting pieces — and the artist goes round every table all evening to help.
Who leads the session?
A professional artist. She opens with a short intro to expressionism and oil pastels, stays with the group until the end giving tips at every table — and, if you want it, adds her finishing touch to your piece.
What are oil pastels?
Creamy colour sticks somewhere between crayons and paint. You blend them with your fingers — no water, no brushes, no stress.
Can I come on my own?
Yes, most people do. You'll be sharing a table and a still life, so conversation comes naturally.
Do we really eat the still life?
Yes. We keep the model for the photos and open fresh boards with the same products, so you eat what you drew.
